DevelopVerona, WI
Onsite

About The Position

DEVELOP LLC is an engineering company that designs and builds custom machines and robotic integrations for manufacturers. We are a FANUC Authorized Systems Integrator and an A3 Certified Robot Integrator based in Verona, Wisconsin. This role exists to support the existing sales team, convert more deals, and increase volume as the operations side of the business scales. The company has a marketing-qualified lead system (BANT+S) and a full pipeline of commercial relationships that trend toward multi-million-dollar annual accounts. The founder currently manages this, and the volume has outgrown one person. The junior business developer will work the pipeline, develop relationships, and close engagements that place engineers with clients.

  • Ability to listen more than talk as an instinct.
  • Ability to ask for the business without flinching, handle a 'no' without folding, and move a deal forward.
  • Genuine passion for engineering and manufacturing, or an engineer with strong business instincts.
  • Manufacturing exposure: You know how things get made and respect the people who make them.
  • Discipline on pipeline: Open loops bother you, and the CRM is updated because you cannot stand it otherwise.
  • Patience for a long sales cycle.
  • Persistence to ensure nothing goes quiet.
  • Honesty with clients when DEVELOP is not the right fit and honesty with the team when something is not working.

  • Educate clients on how automation projects work, what scoping means, and why the first step matters.
  • Recognize and work with growth-minded people and organizations.
  • Sketch 2D concepts on a whiteboard or napkin to confirm understanding.
  • Run deeper qualification on every lead using the BANT+S framework.
  • Protect the engineering team's time by filtering out misaligned projects.
