About The Position

The Business Development Director for Soni's Accounting & Finance Strategic group is a high-impact, coast to coast, revenue-generating position for a proven producer who is ready to own a market, build a book of business, and operate with the autonomy that comes from having already earned it. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities, winning new clients, and deepening relationships that drive long-term revenue. It is not an entry-level role and is intended for individuals who have a proven track record in business development and sales.

Requirements

  • 6+ Years of Experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the staffing industry or related field.
  • A Proven Production Record: Demonstrated ability to carry, hit, and exceed sales quotas.
  • Hunter Mentality: Ability to build pipeline from scratch through outbound discipline and relentless follow-through.
  • Consultative Selling Skills: Ability to listen, diagnose needs, and build trust before closing business.
  • Familiarity with the Accounting & Finance, or professional services talent landscape is a strong advantage.
  • Radical Communication: Direct, credible, and confident communication at all levels.
  • Coachability: Willingness to welcome feedback, apply it quickly, and hold oneself to a high standard.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a targeted outbound strategy to identify, engage, and close new client relationships within a designated vertical and geography.
  • Drive net new revenue through cold outreach, relationship-building, strategic account mapping, and consultative selling.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within Soni's existing client base and deepen relationships to expand wallet share.
  • Position yourself as a trusted market advisor, bringing industry insights, compensation data, and workforce intelligence to client conversations.
  • Partner with recruiting teams to ensure client needs are met with speed, precision, and the right talent.
  • Maintain a rigorous, data-driven approach to pipeline management using CRM and AI tools, tracking activity, forecasting revenue, and optimizing strategy.
  • Represent Soni as a senior representative in the market at client meetings, industry events, and all touchpoints.
