About The Position

We are supporting a global technology organization in the search for a Director of Business Development focused on military and government aviation programs. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new business opportunities in the United States within the satellite communications (SATCOM) and aerospace systems integration space. The primary customer base includes major US defense contractors, aircraft OEMs, and systems integrators. The Director will work closely with senior leadership to execute a targeted go-to-market strategy, build a healthy pipeline, and drive near- to mid-term revenue growth. This is a hands-on business development role requiring strong industry relationships, technical understanding, and the ability to craft compelling commercial solutions.

Requirements

  • Prior business development experience for large value ($XMs+), complex projects (essential)
  • BD for military aircraft systems integration and modification or adjacent field (essential)
  • Business development, sales

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a US go-to-market plan for SATCOM hardware, services, and integrated solutions
  • Build and manage a pipeline aligned with company revenue targets
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business with major defense primes and aviation integrators
  • Coordinate on-site customer demos with pre-sales engineering teams
  • Create innovative commercial proposals and support pricing strategy
  • Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, product, marketing, and finance
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and provide regular pipeline updates
  • Operate autonomously while maintaining strong communication with global leadership
