About The Position

GatherGuard is Intact’s digital insurance solution for small events, helping event hosts quickly obtain coverage commonly required by venues. We are looking for a curious, persistent, and analytically minded early-career professional to help grow GatherGuard’s venue partnerships and digital customer-acquisition channels. This role combines hands-on business development with modern growth marketing. The associate will research prospective venues, conduct high-volume outbound outreach, establish venue referral relationships, support search-engine optimization and paid-search initiatives, and use approved artificial-intelligence tools to work more efficiently and personalize outreach at scale. The right candidate will be comfortable picking up the phone many times each day, testing new ideas, learning from data, and being measured on results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree completed before the employment start date, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Business, marketing, communications, economics, analytics, entrepreneurship, insurance, or a related discipline would all be relevant.
  • Early-career profile, typically 0–2 years of relevant professional, internship, campus-sales, fundraising, customer-service, marketing, or entrepreneurial experience.
  • Willingness and confidence to conduct frequent outbound telephone outreach.
  • Strong verbal communication and ability to explain a straightforward value proposition concisely.
  • Strong written communication, including professional email and personalized prospect outreach.
  • Demonstrated persistence, self-direction, organization, and comfort with measurable goals.
  • Practical familiarity with AI productivity tools and an ability to explain how AI can improve research, personalization, or workflow efficiency.
  • Comfortable learning CRM, analytics, digital marketing, and insurance-related systems.
  • Ability to work regularly from the designated Minnesota office.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for venue meetings, conferences, or team activities.

Responsibilities

  • Venue prospecting and partnership development
  • Build and continuously improve targeted lists of venues, including banquet facilities, hotels, restaurants, community facilities, event spaces, wedding venues, sports facilities, and other organizations that require renters or event hosts to carry liability insurance.
  • Conduct consistent outbound prospecting through telephone calls, personalized email, LinkedIn, and other approved channels.
  • Explain GatherGuard’s venue value proposition clearly and simply, including how the platform can help venues direct event hosts to an efficient insurance-purchase process.
  • Qualify prospective venues and guide interested contacts through the onboarding and activation process.
  • Maintain organized follow-up sequences and continue engaging prospects through conversion or a clearly documented outcome.
  • Strengthen production from existing venue relationships by identifying inactive or underdeveloped partners and supporting reactivation.
  • Identify venue associations, municipal groups, event-industry organizations, and other scalable partnership opportunities.
  • Represent GatherGuard at selected venue or event-industry conferences and networking opportunities when appropriate.
  • SEO, SEM, and digital-growth execution
  • Partner with Marketing to support organic search, paid search, landing-page, content, and conversion-improvement initiatives.
  • Highly efficient with AI usage to adapt strategy and build efficiencies
  • Monitor acquisition metrics such as cost per qualified lead, cost per conversion, venue-produced policies, venue-produced premium, and return on advertising spend.
  • Recommend controlled tests and help document the results before marketing spend is expanded.
  • Support content ideas that improve organic search visibility and provide useful information to venues and event hosts.
  • Identify opportunities to increase high-quality backlinks through venue partners, associations, and relevant industry content.
  • AI-enabled productivity and experimentation
  • Use approved AI tools to research venue prospects, organize target lists, prepare account-specific outreach, draft personalized messaging, summarize prospect information, and improve follow-up efficiency.
  • Develop reusable prompts, templates, and workflows that allow high-quality prospecting to scale without losing personalization.
  • Apply human review, fact-checking, privacy requirements, and company standards to all AI-assisted work.
  • Test new approaches, document what works, and convert successful experiments into repeatable workflows.
  • Identify opportunities for responsible automation while maintaining accurate records and appropriate human oversight.
  • Analytics, accountability, and collaboration
  • Produce concise weekly and monthly reporting showing activity, conversion, production, acquisition cost, and lessons learned.
  • Analyze performance by venue type, geography, prospecting source, campaign, and venue cohort.
  • Work closely with Entertainment leadership, Underwriting, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and technology partners.
  • Take ownership of goals while responding constructively to coaching and changing priorities.
