About The Position

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm, is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Coordinator to join its Business Development team. This role will primarily support the Labor and Employment practice, among others. The coordinator will be responsible for supporting the implementation of business development goals and activities, managing day-to-day activities at a fast pace, and assisting in the planning, coordination, and advancement of critical client-centric business development strategies. Candidates should be self-motivated, responsive, analytical, detail-oriented, and possess outstanding organizational skills. The position requires a high energy level and flexibility with overtime. Maintaining an in-office presence is important for collaboration and service delivery. This position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office, and can be based in New York, Philadelphia, Princeton, or Washington, DC.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services/consulting organization. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work independently as well as manage projects and assignments in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applications and ability to adapt to new technology and programs.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and coordinate pitches, RFP responses, and presentations under the direction of managers/senior managers.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, visual resources, and other documents, collaborating with colleagues across departments for formatting, editing, proofreading, printing, and compiling deliverables to firm standards.
  • Leverage firm tools to manage data, conduct research using firm intranet and external platforms, and create reports in support of business development activities.
  • Work in coordination with marketing and events teams to support content development for events, identify practice generation targets and opportunities, and conduct event follow-up.
  • Assist with budget development, maintenance, and tracking.
  • Support business development-related operations, including communications, reporting, and experience management.
  • Coordinate responses to ad hoc assignments.
