About The Position
Cardinal Civil Resources is currently looking for an employee with high integrity and an excellent attention to detail in order to fill a position for a Business Development Associate. This position supports the business at large and strives to generate new clients or sales leads, increase revenue, and maintain good relationships with new and existing clients.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, estimating, or marketing
- Ability to negotiate.
- Thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in business and finance.
- Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior managerial and diplomacy skills.
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the industry’s legal rules and guidelines.
- Knowledge of the latest industry trends and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers and staff.
- Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations for department managers and staff.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with customers, vendors, and partners.
- Manages key client relationships and works to build new ones.
- Expands the profile and reach of the company.
- Develops and strengthens external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation.
- Researches and identifies new markets
- Selects prospective projects, submits appropriate bids, and negotiates contracts.
- Assess marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations.
- Present business opportunities to upper management and the Director of Operations.
- Ensures work environments are adequate and safe, and department adheres to all safety regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with operations and marketing to promote the company.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
