About The Position

The Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Associate will support and contribute to business development and strategic partnership initiatives for Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas). The role involves supporting projects from opportunity identification through execution, conducting research and analysis, preparing materials, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders to contribute to tangible business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in research and business development
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint
  • Ability to use AI tools for daily work such as research, document preparation, and taking meeting minutes
  • Business level English and Japanese proficiency
  • Strong writing skills.
  • At least 1 to 4 years of experience in supporting operations, initiatives, and administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting industry and market analysis using various external sources.
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative economic analysis in support of selected business development projects, working closely with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • Apply econometric theory and data science skills to build models and evaluate business development opportunities.
  • On the basis of that quantitative economic analysis, prepare presentation materials, proposals, and other documents to support project execution and management decision-making.
  • Identify and help shape new business development initiatives through research and analysis in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with business groups to connect MCA/MC affiliates with relevant external partners, initiatives, and activities.
  • Contribute to corporate-level business development efforts by supporting and coordinating initiatives across multiple business groups.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners that are critical to MC’s business development and intelligence activities, and leverage these relationships to generate opportunities and support project execution.
  • Share networks, insights, and intelligence generated through business development activities with relevant MC/MCA internal stakeholders to support broader organizational initiatives.
