About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring a Business Development Analytics & Operations Intern to support Strategy and Business Development professionals. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic plans supporting the growth of GDMS and its clients, and to support an organization that provides defense services. Work may include running reports, collaborating on proposal development projects, financial modeling, and research and case study efforts. The intern also performs analytical and research activities supporting business development and acquisition, strategic planning, proposal development, and marketing functions.

Requirements

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of business principles.
Be enrolled in an accredited degree program; preference is given to candidates studying Finance, Business Administration, or Mathematics.
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within the facilities.
Familiarity with AI development tools such as Codex or ChatGPT, programming languages such as Python, and development platforms such as GitLab.
Familiarity with database structures and operations.
Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

Run reports for Strategy and Business Development professionals.
Collaborate on proposal development projects.
Support financial modeling.
Support research and case study efforts.
Perform analytical and research activities supporting business development and acquisition, strategic planning, proposal development, and marketing functions.
Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance growth efforts.
Support and engage in programs, projects, and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with policies and procedures.
Follow industry and department trends and developments to help ensure GDMS services meet or exceed industry best practices.
