About The Position

The Asset Management division of Jefferies provides clients with a single connection to its diversified global alternatives capabilities, leveraging the firm’s deep capital markets and investment banking expertise. Jefferies offers a broad range of investment strategies spanning Private Credit, Alternative Asset Managers, and Insurance Solutions. Jefferies will be hiring an Institutional Sales Analyst/Associate within the Asset Management division’s global Business Development & Investor Relations team to support its support senior regional sales leads in the U.S. This hire will be critical to supporting the firm’s continued growth plans across its investment platform. This hire needs to be a highly proactive, commercial “self-starter” who thrives and enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly collegial environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-4 years of relevant work experience in markets, investments, and/or financial services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to synthesize detailed financial information succinctly
  • Ability to support and “take ownership” of multiple client projects and requests simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior members of the business development team and other internal stakeholders (investor relations, operations, compliance, and investment teams)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • CFA and/or CAIA designation a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting all aspects of the marketing and investor relations efforts
  • Assist senior members of the Business Development team in all stages of the sales process, including product and market research, organizing target lists of potential new clients, and sales process management
  • Assist with the upkeep of CRM system (Salesforce) and other client databases
  • Assist the Business Development team with ad hoc tasks and research in preparation for client meetings
  • Responding to investor inquiries and data requests, coordinating with relevant internal parties as required
  • Assist potential investors by completing their due diligence processes and providing timely responses
  • Develop product and strategy-specific knowledge to communicate effectively with affiliated asset managers and clients
