About The Position

We are seeking a Business Developer to support our business development efforts across Europe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the energy market, enjoy opening doors, and thrive on building relationships that turn into real revenue. You will be responsible for searching for attractive leads and closing complex B2B deals with large energy consumers. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, acting as a partner to our global sales, marketing, and revenue operations teams. The position is based in Spain (ideally Valencia or Madrid, but remote/hybrid is also an option) and will be part of the Global Sales Team.

Requirements

  • B2B sales experience: ideally 2-3 years of experience (but if you have more or less and still feel it’s a strong fit, also apply!).
  • Ability to engage credibly with C-level stakeholders and influence decision-making in complex buying environments.
  • Comfortable operating independently, setting, and managing your priorities.
  • Native or C2-level English is required.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Nice To Haves

  • Energy industry experience and market knowledge is good to have, but not required.
  • Native or C2-level German or French is considered a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Executing E&C’s outbound and inbound growth strategy across the European energy market.
  • Conducting market research and identifying attractive leads and opportunities within defined target markets.
  • Creating tailored plans for prospective customers by identifying their needs and presenting relevant services and solutions.
  • Preparing and delivering engaging sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including proposals, negotiations, and deal execution.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to understand customer needs and ensure a high level of service.
  • Analyzing trends, opportunities, and competitors within the energy risk management and energy technology space.
  • Ensuring CRM systems are consistently maintained and always kept up to date.
  • Representing E&C Group at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote our services and build brand awareness.
