About The Position

This role is responsible for the awareness, promotion, education, and performance of the credit union's Business Deposits and Treasury Management program. The specialist will focus on selling and cross-selling services, networking with business lenders, ensuring employees understand policies and procedures, and collaborating with retail leadership to enhance the business member experience. The position also involves developing and implementing effective policies and procedures, ensuring digital integration, managing quality assurance, reporting, and compliance, and maintaining professional business relations with vendors and internal personnel.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree from a community or 4-year college or technical school.
  • Five or more years of business deposit experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with members and internal partners.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for the awareness, promotion, education, and performance of the Business Deposits and Treasury Management program.
  • Sell and cross-sell credit union services to current and potential members.
  • Network with business lenders to promote the brand and increase revenues.
  • Ensure employees understand the policies and procedures of treasury management and business deposits.
  • Ensure branch personnel understand the business member onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with Retail Directors for continual product knowledge sessions within the retail network.
  • Create and execute a coaching plan for retail leadership to improve the business member experience.
  • Support the Commercial Lending department’s calling efforts as an additional SME to meet business member needs.
  • Develop and implement effective business deposit and treasury management policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Create procedures, resolve process impasses, and improve workflow, including enacting and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • Create and update policy and procedures in regards to treasury management and business deposits.
  • Create and update user guides and manuals.
  • Work with subject matter experts on updating and creating new processes.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure full digital integration.
  • Partner with digital product and other necessary subject matter experts to focus on the business member experience within the digital channel.
  • Manage the business deposits and treasury management program’s quality assurance, reporting, and compliance.
  • Comply with credit union policies, including Bank Secrecy Act, PATRIOT Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and OFAC.
  • Manage and review all new member business accounts for accuracy and complete due diligence.
  • Report, track, and manage errors to ensure proficiency across the organization.
  • Decision the daily overdraft report for member business accounts.
  • Establish and maintain professional business relations with volunteers, vendors, and trade professionals.
  • Provide support with third-party partners regarding referral questions and service needs.
  • Provide input and recommendations for vendor contract negotiations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with personnel and Management.
  • Assist and inform departments as needed.
  • Keep Senior Management informed of business deposits program activities and significant problems.
  • Perform related duties as required or assigned.
