About The Position

This role is responsible for the awareness, promotion, education, and performance of REV’s Business Deposits and Treasury Management program. This includes selling and cross-selling credit union services, networking with business lenders, ensuring employees understand policies and procedures, and collaborating with Retail Directors for product knowledge sessions. The specialist will also create and execute a coaching plan for retail leadership to improve the business member experience and support the Commercial Lending department. Additionally, the position involves developing and implementing effective business deposit and treasury management policies, procedures, and programs, including creating and updating documentation and improving workflow. The specialist will collaborate across departments for digital integration, manage quality assurance, reporting, and compliance for the program, including reviewing new member business accounts and decisioning daily overdraft reports. Finally, the role requires establishing and maintaining professional business relations with volunteers, vendors, and trade professionals, providing support with third-party partners, and keeping Senior Management informed of program activities.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree from a community or 4-year college or technical school.
  • Five or more years of business deposit experience
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with members and internal partners
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for the awareness, promotion, education, and performance of REV’s Business Deposits and Treasury Management program.
  • Responsible for selling and cross-selling credit union services to current and potential members
  • Network with business lenders to promote REV brand and increase revenues.
  • Ensure employees understand the policies and procedures of treasury management and business deposits
  • Ensure branch personnel understand the business member onboarding process
  • Collaborate with Retail Directors for continual product knowledge sessions within the retail network.
  • Create and execute on a coaching plan for retail leadership in order to improve the business member experience.
  • Support the Commercial Lending department’s calling efforts as an additional SME to meet business member needs.
  • Assumes responsibility for the development and implementation of effective business deposit and treasury management policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Responsible for creating procedures, resolving process impasse and improving workflow including enacting and monitoring of key performance indicators to ensure strong performance and control management standards
  • Creates and updates policy and procedures in regards to treasury management and business deposits.
  • Create and update user guides and manuals.
  • Work with subject matter experts on the updating and creating of new processes.
  • Effectively collaborate across departments to ensure full digital integration
  • Partner with digital product and other necessary subject matter experts to focus on the business member experience within this channel.
  • Effectively manage the business deposits and treasury management program’s quality assurance, reporting and compliance
  • Fully comply with the requirements of all credit union policies, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the PATRIOT Act, the Right to Financial Privacy Act and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Manage and review all new member business accounts for accuracy and complete due diligence
  • Report, track, and manage errors as needed to ensure proficiency across the organization
  • Decision the daily overdraft report for member business accounts as needed
  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring that professional business relations exist with volunteers, vendors, and trade professionals.
  • Provide support with third party partners with both referral questions and service needs.
  • Provide input and recommendations for existing and potential vendor contract negotiations which align with the REV strategic plan.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with REV’s personnel and with Management.
  • Assists and informs departments as needed.
  • Keeps Senior Management informed of business deposits program activities and of any significant problems.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
