About The Position
CTG is seeking to fill a Business Data Consultant opening for our client. This is a remote, 12-month contract position. The role involves implementing data management and data governance practices, partnering with business and technology teams on data quality and reporting, monitoring data governance compliance, and analyzing large data sets to generate business insights. The consultant will also provide training and guidance on data management tools and support enterprise data management requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 9+ years of combined education/work experience including 5+ years relevant experience.
- Experience with Data Governance, Data Management, SQL, and Amperity.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, presentations, data visualization, and financial models.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
Nice To Haves
- Amperity experience strongly preferred.
- Marketing campaign experience.
- Master's degree and 8+ years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of data management, process improvement, business process management, and business workflows.
- Banking industry experience is a plus.
- Experience with project and presentation software.
Responsibilities
- Implement data management and data governance practices within assigned business units.
- Partner with business and technology teams on data quality, metadata, critical data elements, reporting, analytics, and issue management.
- Monitor data governance compliance, data quality, KPIs/KRIs, and data risk.
- Facilitate data management working groups and cross-functional initiatives.
- Identify and remediate data issues and escalate risks when appropriate.
- Analyze large data sets to generate business insights and support business decisions.
- Provide training and guidance on data management, business intelligence, and analytics tools.
- Support enterprise data management, regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement enterprise data management standards and processes.
- Lead cross-functional teams and working groups and coordinate activities across business and technology teams.
