About The Position

Zipline is on a mission to transform how goods move by making autonomous drone delivery the fastest, most reliable, and most delightful logistics system in the world. As we continue to scale our Platform 2 (P2) business, we are looking for a Business Data Analyst to help turn data into actionable insights that drive growth. As a member of Zipline's centralized Data Science & Analytics team, you will serve as an embedded business and analytics partner to stakeholders across Marketing, Commercial, and Growth. You will help teams make better decisions by translating business questions into analyses, dashboards, and recommendations that improve performance, identify opportunities, and accelerate growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with business curiosity. You are comfortable working with large datasets, building intuitive reporting solutions, and communicating complex findings in ways that inspire action. You are excited by the opportunity to use modern analytics and AI tools to automate manual work, improve visibility, and help Zipline scale efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, operations, technology, logistics, eCommerce, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more query languages (e.g. SQL) and experience working with complex relational datasets.
  • Expertise with one or more business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure, including data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous business questions into actionable analyses.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a demonstrated ability to tell compelling stories with data.
  • Familiarity with a scripting language for analysis such as Python.
  • Strong business acumen and curiosity, with the ability to connect analytical insights to operational and commercial outcomes.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to improve analytical workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance productivity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Commercial, and Growth teams to understand business objectives and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Develop analyses that help stakeholders understand customer behavior, commercial performance, market dynamics, and growth opportunities.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions using business intelligence platforms such as Sigma, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to scale insights and drive strategic decision-making for stakeholders.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that help teams measure progress against strategic goals.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks through exploratory analysis and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear narratives and recommendations that support decision-making across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Present findings and insights to business leaders, helping drive alignment and action across teams.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Business stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting capabilities, and analytical processes.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools and workflows to automate recurring reporting, streamline analytical processes, and improve team productivity.
  • Support strategic initiatives by developing measurement frameworks, conducting ad hoc analyses, and evaluating business performance.
