About The Position

The Business Controls Analyst is responsible for reviewing and validating documentation related to new account setup, including Know Your Customer (KYC) details. This role ensures accuracy and completeness of client information during onboarding and when updates are required. The position supports compliance processes by performing detailed reviews and reporting discrepancies to appropriate teams.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience performing account opening and documentation review in a retail banking environment, including familiarity with compliance procedures and system-based verification tasks.
  • Working knowledge of banking operations and account opening processes.
  • Familiarity with compliance procedures and KYC requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Effective verbal and written communication for routine interactions and documentation.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills for reviewing documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate new account documentation, including KYC details, for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform daily checks using bank systems to ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Report discrepancies or potential risks to the appropriate manager promptly.
  • Assist with account opening processes by following documented procedures.
  • Support implementation of new processes by applying provided instructions and guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations and internal procedures.
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and within established timelines.
  • Perform other related duties as directed by management.
