Job Description: This job is responsible for promoting business continuity, crisis management, and/or operational resilience and facilitating cross-functional collaboration and decision making related to business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities. Key responsibilities include working with teams to facilitate and execute deliverables related to business continuity planning, testing, incident management, progress reporting, and audit/regulatory issues. Job expectations include providing business continuity subject matter expertise and/or crisis management support. Overview: The Business Continuity Engagement Manager is responsible for supporting the Business Continuity (BC) Program across Global Technology’s (GT) Front Line Units (FLU). Working with the GT FLUs in meeting the business & technology planning, testing, and third party deliverables, assisting in the program management and compliance to policies, standards, laws, rules and regulations (LRR) as well as risk identification and remediation.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a lead contributor or project manager to execute the scope of initiatives and processes through continuity planning, testing, supplier assessments, enterprise risk transparency, and response management.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure business continuity, crisis management and/or disaster recovery plans adhere to policies, standards and/or procedures
  • Supports deliverables related to audit and regulatory inquiries
  • Provides subject matter consulting related to business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery programs.
  • Surfaces issues affecting recoverability and ensures resolution
  • Drive BC program success and compliance that will improve recoverability and resiliency
  • Provide reporting and thematic analysis
  • Communicates, influences, and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to leverage necessary resources to complete deliverables on time
  • Accountable for monthly processes including preparing senior executive risk and compliance presentations
  • Handles ad-hoc requests to direct internal customers to packaged reporting
  • Knowledge of BC standard and applicable LRRs that govern BC globally
  • Understand and assist in the Disaster Recovery process and procedures
  • Drive the effort to improve recoverability and resiliency through thematic analysis and qualitative and quantitative reporting
  • Work with GT FLU senior leaders to provide timely updates and reporting on program health and compliance rates
  • Identify risk and assist FLU through escalation, debate and documentation to drive risk reduction
  • Actively use or identify proactive controls to assist with emerging BC risks/trends across the organization as well as monitor remediation activities and escalate as appropriate
  • Accountable for weekly processes of notification and escalation of upcoming and past due work
  • Partner with internal team within our organization to have an understanding of the full scope of the BCP program that will be used to support the GT FLUs
  • Understand key systems including CPT (Continuity Planning Tool), Alphabet (btConverge), MS Office, Tableau dashboards and metrics, etc.
