About The Position

Exit Factor is expanding its team and seeking experienced, business-minded professionals for a Business Consultant role in East Texas. This position focuses on helping small to medium-sized business owners increase their companies' profit, efficiency, and value to prepare for future sales. Consultants will engage with leads, convert them to clients, and work with them using a proprietary method and system. The role offers flexibility, leverage, and meaningful work, with a focus on consulting for outcomes rather than motivational coaching. Exit Factor is a business consulting firm that assists businesses with valuations, 1:1 consulting, and online programs, working with companies between $0 - $30 million in revenue across various industries. The firm operates with the feel of a small business but has the resources of a large global system.

Requirements

  • Computer proficiency is required, including conducting Zoom presentation meetings.
  • Some experience in a customer-facing role or a love for customer interaction.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication with particularly strong phone skills.
  • Enthusiasm for entrepreneurship and business.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: a proactive, driven, strong desire to succeed, competitive, committed to accomplishing objectives, opportunistic.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the following technology systems or ability to figure it out: Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, Zoom.

Nice To Haves

  • Personal experience with a business exit or sale
  • Previous experience with business consulting/coaching
  • Related exit strategy/M&A experience
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Networking with referral partners and business owners to foster business development (Chamber events, coffee chats, lunch, etc.)
  • Conducting 1:1 consulting sessions using our proprietary VORTEx model.
  • Providing value-added resources to our online curriculum to enhance client work.
  • Participating in ongoing training and continuing education.
