About The Position

Senior Credit Risk Management role responsible for leading a team of Credit Approval Officers supporting Business Banking lending in the Midwest and East regions. Portfolio composition includes C&I, Investment Real Estate and Agriculture. The team is responsible for approving loans exceeding business line authority levels and overseeing the management of the Business Banking portfolio. Responsible for maintaining prudent lending standards within U.S. Bank’s risk appetite and ensuring conformity with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, while supporting business growth, initiatives and the development/retention of client relationships. The individual serves as a subject matter expert for credit policy/procedures, credit underwriting and analysis. The team oversees the credit culture for the business line, monitors delinquency, loss and risk rating accuracy for business banking. The individual will lead the team in working with partners in sales, product, underwriting, portfolio management, auditors, and regulators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically more than 15 years of applicable experience

  • Demonstrated experience in risk analysis, structuring, and portfolio management skills for C&I lending, agricultural production and investment real estate
