About The Position

The Business Banking Sales Manager leads a team of Agricultural Relationship Managers focused on serving agricultural producers and agribusiness clients with annual revenues generally ranging from $2.5 million to $50 million. Reporting to the Business Banking Market Leader, this role is responsible for driving business development, portfolio growth, client satisfaction, and market expansion across the Midwest region. The successful candidate will provide leadership and coaching to a geographically dispersed team while partnering with clients, producers, centers of influence, and internal business partners to deliver specialized agricultural banking solutions. Ideal candidates bring strong agricultural lending, production agriculture, credit underwriting, and financial analysis experience, along with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams, develop talent, and drive strategic growth initiatives. Fosters a team culture that is customer obsessed while overseeing relationship management, business development activities, and related risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically 10 or more years of business banking or relevant experience
  • Typically five or more years of management/leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge of agricultural banking, production agriculture, agricultural lending, and underwriting practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking products and services, banking operations, and market trends.
  • Demonstrated success in new business development and relationship management.
  • Strong credit analysis, risk management, and underwriting proficiency.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed or remote teams.
  • Established relationships within the agricultural industry and producer community.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
  • Well-developed analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other banking technologies.
  • This position requires 10 or more hours of driving per week.
