About The Position

Responsible for managing an assigned commercial loan portfolio. This responsibility includes credit quality, credit approval and profitability of the portfolio. Performs due diligence to verify the information provided by customer and contained in the loan application or other information submitted. Gathers information about customer relationship and related credit exposures Utilizes multiple sources to gain background information on assigned clients Gains understanding of the borrower's industry Gathers and evaluates business/personal financial statements, balance sheets and tax returns to determine borrower's ability to pay Works with manager and credit administration on analyzing of information obtained. Assists with credit approval presentations to the Executive Loan Committee and Board of Directors when the proposed loan dollar value exceeds lending authority. Assists with credit file review and annual review of loans, and monitors existing credits Reviews new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution. Assist in the correction of loan deficiencies cited by examiners. Develops new customer prospects and business for the financial institution. May participate in customer calls with other lenders Responsible for deepening customer relationships with new and existing customers. This will be accomplished through understanding the full account relationship with customers and making sales calls.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking and lending concepts, practices, and policies.
  • Ability to effectively analyze information and situations to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Highly organized.
  • Strong service and team orientation.
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word to produce documents and compile information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
