Business Attorney
About The Position
Wolfe House & Building Movers is seeking an experienced Business or Contract Attorney to serve as dedicated, full-time legal counsel. The attorney will protect the company’s interests by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of commercial contracts, managing risk, and ensuring compliance across multiple state jurisdictions. The role works closely with executive leadership and project managers to streamline legal operations. Wolfe House & Building Movers has more than 50 years of experience in structural moving, lifting, and rigging, with projects involving heavy industrial operations, multi-state logistics, and high-value property.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Extensive experience handling contracts.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate structural and industrial moving agreements, subcontractor agreements, vendor contracts, and heavy equipment leases.
- Identify potential legal liabilities in complex commercial projects and advise leadership on risk allocation, indemnification clauses, and insurance requirements.
- Monitor and advise on regulatory compliance, permitting laws, and labor standards across the states where the company operates.
- Assist with internal corporate policies, employment agreements, and general corporate maintenance.
- Provide initial guidance on contract disputes, mechanics' liens, and insurance claims, and manage outside specialized counsel if litigation becomes necessary.
