About The Position

Utilizing the ASPIRE philosophy and processes, the Business Associate supports the Patient Care Center, Centralized Department, and patients by providing services such as monitoring key performance indicators, database management, information processing, patient and department support, materials and inventory management, educational and training functions, and unit-specific tasks. The position is located at The Valley Hospital in Paramus and works an evening shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer experience, including knowledge of a Windows environment.
• Effective communication and writing skills, including proper spelling and grammar.
• Effective interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with coworkers and other staff.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Critical-thinking, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to shift between tasks without losing efficiency or composure.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Typing/keyboarding speed of at least 25 to 30 words per minute.

Nice To Haves

• Formal business or medical training.
• Completion of a medical terminology course.
• Previous comparable experience in an acute care setting.
