About The Position

The Business Applications Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting online forms, event registration solutions, payment processes, and CRM-integrated business applications. This position works closely with ministry teams and stakeholders to create technology solutions that collect, validate, process, and integrate information into Salesforce and other organizational systems. The Business Applications Specialist serves as the primary resource for event registration development and business process automation while supporting data quality, user experience, and system integration initiatives. This role requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance online forms, event registrations, and business process solutions.
  • Configure complex business logic, calculations, conditional workflows, validations, notifications, and automation.
  • Develop solutions that integrate with Salesforce and other organizational systems.
  • Configure and support payment collection processes and related business workflows.
  • Build and maintain reusable templates, standards, and development practices.
  • Configure and support integrations between forms, registration systems, payment platforms, and Salesforce.
  • Ensure accurate data mapping, validation, and synchronization across systems.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Support data quality initiatives and assist with data cleanup activities.
  • Monitor solution performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Perform comprehensive testing of solutions before deployment.
  • Validate calculations, workflows, integrations, notifications, and payment processes.
  • Identify defects, document issues, and coordinate resolutions.
  • Conduct regression testing when enhancements or changes are implemented.
  • Ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Meet with ministry teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Provide support for registration and business process-related issues.
  • Assist users with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Backup Receptionist position as directed
  • Support Salesforce users with basic administrative requests and issue resolution.
  • Assist with reports, lists, and data-related requests as assigned.
  • Support business process automation and workflow improvements.
  • Escalate complex Salesforce administration and security issues to the Senior Salesforce & Business Systems Administrator.
  • Collaborate with Information Management staff on system enhancements and strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions, integrations, workflows, and business processes.
  • Maintain inventories of active forms, registrations, and business solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system usability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Stay current on CRM, forms, automation, and integration technologies.
