About The Position

The Department of Revenue (DOR) is looking for a Business and Performance Analyst to help shape the future of how our platforms operate. In this role, you won't just analyze systems—you'll be the primary bridge between everyday business teams, technical developers, executive leadership, and the Governor's Office to translate strategy into impact. This position serves within the Innovation, Strategy, and Delivery unit to drive deliberate strategic planning and transparent execution across key technology investments. Working alongside project managers, product owners, and analysts, you will deliver application and organizational support services that enable change for legislative and strategic projects.

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of experience as a business or performance analyst role or other experience directly related to the work assigned to this position which must include at least 2 years as a performance analyst developing key performance indicators (KPI’s) in a federal, state or county position.
  • A combination of related education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems in a closely related field as determined by the Department and/or relevant experience in a business or performance analyst role equal to six (6) years which must include at least 2 years as a performance analyst developing key performance indicators (KPI’s) in a federal, state or county position.
  • Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must be a resident of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate scope and systems requirements continuously to maintain systems processes.
  • Elicit and gather user and business requirements through open-ended discussions, brainstorming, and prototyping
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Create and implement management plans for assigned projects, with attention to transparent communication at all levels.
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
  • Review and implement Test Plans and Test Cases based on user requirements and functional requirements specifications.
  • Determine how best to respond to customer requests in a manner that will promote customer service and transparency
  • Act as a liaison with internal DOR staff and the governor's office to support WIG development.
