About The Position

CTG is seeking a highly analytical Business Analyst to support our client. This role is ideal for a functional business analyst with strong Application Development Methodology (ADM) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience who excels at gathering requirements, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and translating business needs into functional solutions. As the liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and vendors, you will drive requirements definition, impact analysis, and process improvements that enable successful project delivery. This is a business analysis role focused on application development—not data analytics, ETL, or business intelligence.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Application Development Methodology (ADM) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Expertise in impact analysis, gap analysis, and business process mapping.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business analysis documentation tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise application development initiatives.
  • Experience creating BRDs, use cases, workflow diagrams, functional specifications, and user stories.
  • Background supporting Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid SDLC environments.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are a plus.
  • Relevant Business Analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or similar) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Develop business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process maps.
  • Perform impact analysis and gap analysis to evaluate business needs and proposed solutions.
  • Partner with business users, technical teams, and vendors throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Translate business objectives into clear, actionable functional requirements.
  • Support Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including planning, issue resolution, and validation.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure requirements are complete, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.
