About The Position
We are seeking a Business Analyst with expertise in the retail domain to join our team in Vancouver, WA. This is a 12+ month onsite position focused on ownership of mobile and web solutions for retail clients. The role requires strong knowledge of business requirements, discovery, UX design, usability testing, and Agile-driven sprint grooming sessions. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying business opportunities and problems, collaborating with business and technology teams to define options and develop solutions. This role involves managing backlogs, scope creep, and change management, and contributing throughout the development cycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment). The position requires the ability to function independently and within distributed teams, including remote/offshore development teams.
Requirements
- Subject Matter Expertise in the Retail domain
- Experience with ownership of mobile and web solutions for Retail clients
- Strong knowledge of Business Requirements, Discovery, UX design, Usability Testing, and Agile-driven Sprint Grooming sessions
- Ability to develop artifacts to drive discussion and ensure all business needs are captured in requirements
- Proficient in managing backlogs, scope-creep, and change management
- Experience contributing throughout the development cycle (analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment)
- Ability to function independently and within distributed teams
- 3+ years of eCommerce business analysis experience
- Experience with functional and nonfunctional requirements for software development and/or integration projects
- Exceptional presentation, listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience collaborating with remote/offshore development teams
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodology and user story creation
- 7+ years of total work experience, with at least 3 years as an on-site Product Manager
- Expertise in the retail domain is a must.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Event Management or any Event Management solution
- Previous experience as a professional consultant is a plus
- Strong understanding of programming languages, middleware solutions, application servers, and presentation layer tools
