About The Position

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Technology Services Division in Helena. Each Business Analyst works closely with Division program personnel and system owners to identify user business needs that must be accommodated in the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) modular system design. This position needs to work with Division program personnel to solicit accurate and complete business and functional requirements and identify opportunities to improve and automate business processes.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Medicaid business processes.
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
• Thorough knowledge of healthcare claims management, reimbursement methodology, and service delivery.
• Ability to manage varying deadlines and multiple projects while responding positively to changes in direction, priorities, responsibilities, or assignments.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business administration, information technology, computer science, or related field is preferred.
• Three or more years of job-related work experience.
• Successful applicants will be subject to background checks relevant to the position and must pass reference checks before an offer will be extended.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is preferred.
• Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
