About The Position

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our RPS Business Transformation Department. The pay range for the role is $74,000 - $130,000/yr; commensurate with experience. The level of the position will be determined by the hiring manager based on the candidate's qualifications. The work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with hours that may vary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, related field, or equivalent work experience required.
• Three (3) years of professional level experience in applications support or related banking experience required for Business Analyst II.
• Five (5) years of professional-level experience in applications support or related banking experience required for Business Analyst III.
• Business Analyst certification from a well-respected organization (e.g. IIBA).
• Knowledge of the system development life cycle (SDLC) required.
• Knowledge of mainframe or client server applications.
• Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and team building skills and manage conflict.
• Skill in understanding and focusing on the business unit needs, establishing credibility and building relationships with business units.
• Ability to plan, organize and budget.
• Possesses attention to detail with excellent follow-through.
• Ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
• Good time management skills.
• Proficient in using PC’s, Microsoft Word, and Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries and Python scripts.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework or work experience in finance preferred.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry (e.g. retail, mortgage/loans/deposits and wholesale banking) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of existing, new or enhanced computerized systems and business processes.
• Review business and application processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Creates test plans and conducts testing for application software changes and/or new releases.
