Business Analyst (Insurance Domain) -Senior
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with experience in the insurance domain to join our team. This role involves analyzing existing actuarial reports, primarily using Excel and SQL, and guiding developers in replicating these reports within our Segment Data Warehouse. The position requires a strong understanding of calculations, data, and processes, particularly within reinsurance and actuarial/reserving reporting. You will be responsible for developing requirements documentation, acceptance criteria, performing Quality Assurance (QA) testing, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) through to signoff.
Requirements
- Prior knowledge and experience with reinsurance, actuarial/reserving reporting processes.
- Ability to quickly understand firm’s calculations, data and processes.
- Bachelors or Masters in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing actuarial reports and measures (Excel+SQL) and instruct developers on replacing them in the Segment Data Warehouse.
- Clarify key calculations and analyze underlying data.
- Develop requirements documentation and acceptance criteria.
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) testing to validate new reports/measures meet requirements.
- Validate that report data matches expected results.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues through data analysis.
- Coordinate and own User Testing and Signoff.
- Coordinate acceptance testing through signoff.
