About The Position

CADRE is seeking a Business Analyst to support cross-functional delivery teams responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into actionable requirements across federal IT modernization initiatives. This role serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with mission objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs in complex environments.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working in structured or regulated environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting federal government contracts or public-sector initiatives.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
Knowledge of UX/UI principles or customer experience design.
Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile-related certifications.

Responsibilities

Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate requirements workshops, stakeholder meetings, and backlog refinement sessions.
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support prioritization of requirements in collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders.
Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with development, QA, and UX teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements.
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate delivered solutions meet business needs.
Maintain documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, and functional specifications.
