About The Position

This role involves planning and accomplishing goals independently, performing a variety of complicated tasks, and utilizing a wide degree of creativity and latitude. The Business Analyst will understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform cost/benefit analysis. They will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems by conferring with personnel, analyzing operational procedures, identifying problems, and defining input/output requirements. The analyst will write detailed descriptions of user needs and program functions, review computer system capabilities, and determine the feasibility of requested program changes within existing systems. The candidate must have experience implementing PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Accounts Receivable and Billing modules, excelling in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and data mapping to legacy and third-party systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with a large remote team. Other duties include documentation, hands-on testing, supporting training efforts, and other project tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience as a business analyst with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.
  • 8 or more years of experience as a business analyst, specifically in Accounts Receivable and Billing module implementations.
  • 8 or more years of experience as a business analyst in gathering requirements and conducting fit/gap analysis with subject matter experts.
  • 8 or more years of experience in performing hands-on end-to-end system integration testing with third-party interfaces.
  • At least 4 years of experience with Microsoft O365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • At least 2 years of experience working with MS Teams in a large team setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a large remote team.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of experience working with a public sector organization (Federal, State, or Local Government).
  • 2 years of experience working with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) CAPPS Financials system.
  • 2 years of experience with PeopleSoft Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
  • 2 years of experience with SharePoint.
  • 1 year of experience with Jira.
  • 1 year of experience working with the Scrum framework.
  • 1 year of experience with STAT.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems.
  • Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements.
  • Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
  • Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
