About The Position

The Business Analyst – Data & Reporting supports enterprise business process analysis, reporting, and data transformation initiatives within a data warehouse environment. This role partners with business units and IT teams to document workflows, define reporting requirements, and support the implementation of enterprise financial systems. The position contributes to change management efforts and ensures business processes and reporting solutions align with organizational needs and system capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 7 or more years of professional experience in IT, business analysis, or related areas
  • 5 or more years of experience in business analysis, reporting, and data analysis
  • Experience with process mapping and workflow documentation tools such as Visio
  • Strong experience with reporting tools including Excel, Smartsheet, and similar platforms
  • Experience with data warehouse and data mart concepts
  • Experience with relational database design and data analysis
  • Experience with technical specification documentation
  • Experience with ETL and data migration processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business workflows, processes, and reporting requirements
  • Develop process flow diagrams and documentation using tools such as Visio
  • Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements aligned with system capabilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert for workflow and process documentation
  • Design, develop, and validate reports using tools such as Excel, Smartsheet, and other reporting platforms
  • Perform data analysis and data mining within a data warehouse environment
  • Support reporting use case development and ensure alignment with business requirements
  • Validate reporting outputs and ensure accuracy and completeness of delivered data
  • Support data warehouse and data mart initiatives
  • Assist with data migration and ETL activities
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper integration of data sources and reporting structures
  • Perform testing of reports and data outputs in pre-production and production environments
  • Support development and execution of test plans for reporting and data processes
  • Identify, track, and resolve defects, ensuring re-testing and validation of fixes
  • Support enterprise system implementation and transition activities
  • Coordinate change management processes across business units and stakeholders
  • Identify change impacts, monitor resistance, and contribute to mitigation strategies
  • Participate in readiness and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Work closely with business units, project teams, and vendors to define requirements and deliver solutions
  • Serve as a liaison between SMEs, IT teams, and external partners
  • Participate in project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications
  • Produce and maintain technical specifications, process documentation, and reporting artifacts
  • Review deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with standards
  • Ensure documentation reflects current system state and business processes
