Business Analyst – Mobile Applications

About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on mobile applications. In this role, you will be instrumental in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for our mobile products. You will translate complex business needs into clear and actionable documentation, including Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and User Stories. Your responsibilities will extend to defining acceptance criteria, conducting impact analyses, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, UX/UI designers, developers, and QA. You will actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, support sprint execution, and assist with testing phases. A key aspect of this role is the focus on mobile applications, ensuring requirements are optimized for mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and user experiences. You will also be responsible for maintaining documentation and tracking key performance indicators related to app performance and user adoption.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst on mobile app projects.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and app development lifecycle.
Proficiency with requirement management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience with wireframing tools (Figma, Balsamiq, Axure).
Exposure to UX/UI principles for mobile applications.
Experience with API integrations and backend systems.

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for mobile applications.
Translate business needs into Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and User Stories.
Define clear acceptance criteria aligned with business goals.
Conduct impact analysis for new features and enhancements.
Work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, developers, and QA teams.
Facilitate requirement gathering workshops, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions.
Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
Support sprint execution by clarifying requirements and resolving queries.
Assist QA teams in test case creation and UAT execution.
Analyze mobile user journeys, workflows, and interactions.
Ensure requirements align with mobile-specific constraints (performance, security, usability).
Support app store release planning and post-release analysis.
Maintain up-to-date documentation using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
Create process flows, wireframes, and mockups (as needed).
Track KPIs and support reporting on user adoption and app performance.
