About The Position

AmeriLux is seeking a Business Analyst to transform retail data into actionable decisions. The role involves analyzing sales, inventory, and returns across retail partners to drive sales growth, improve margins, reduce returns, and optimize inventory levels. The Business Analyst will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, with success measured by the business improvements generated from insights.

Requirements

Degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
3 to 5 years in retail analytics, business intelligence, merchandising, category management, or sales analytics.
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
A "why" mindset: ability to dig for insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.

Nice To Haves

Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Analyze POS, sales, inventory, and return data from retail partners.
Build dashboards and reports to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Investigate the root causes of returns (product defects, shipping damage, packaging, or content errors).
Evaluate product performance based on sales, margin, turns, and customer feedback to recommend assortment changes, enhancements, or discontinuations.
Measure promotional effectiveness and inform future merchandising strategies.
Analyze inventory, forecasting, and system settings to improve availability and reduce excess stock.
Track competitor pricing and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, gross margin, inventory turns, fill rates, returns, and in-stock performance.
