About The Position

The Business Analyst supports the delivery of project financial management reporting for stakeholders across Enterprise Portfolio Management & Strategy Execution (EPMO) globally. The role is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting and analysis that supports strategic business decisions while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance standards.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
  • Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and present large and complex datasets, applying sound judgment to generate meaningful insights.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, modeling, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with banking and financial systems, including OBI, EGL, and PeopleSoft, as well as project portfolio management tools such as CA PPM.

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward a professional designation such as CPA or CFA.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • VBA experience.
  • Experience developing, automating, and managing workflows using Alteryx is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of key financial and management reporting, including monthly project financial actuals and forecasts, forecast accuracy reporting, Business Case Tool consolidations, amortization and depreciation forecasts, and regulatory filings.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present large volumes of complex financial data and insights in a clear, meaningful, and user-friendly format for stakeholders.
  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and process monthly journal entries and support reporting integrity through effective financial controls.
  • Contribute to strong financial governance by implementing reporting standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit requests, project cost analysis, and Scientific Research & Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credit reporting.
  • Assist with Business Investment activities, including reporting enhancements, Business Case Tool updates, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and improve processes, workflows, and reporting solutions that enhance project financial tracking and decision-making.
  • Support business and technology initiatives that drive operational excellence and improve reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to streamline workflows, identify efficiencies, and enhance reporting effectiveness.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting that supports business strategies, planning activities, and portfolio management decisions.
