Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support and enhance our Commercial Digital Banking technology. This role sits within the Commercial Digital Banking IT team and focuses on client‑facing applications, including Fiserv Commercial Center (commercial online banking), Check and ACH Positive Pay, and other supporting platforms. The Technical Business Analyst will document and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions across Old National Bank’s Commercial business lines, while developing and improving business processes to align with strategic initiatives. This role also contributes to the ongoing troubleshooting and support of the 20+ applications maintained by the team.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years+ experience in technical business analysis within the Commercial Banking or Financial Services industry, including a strong understanding of commercial online banking platforms and backend payment systems such as ACH, SWIFT, wires, FX, and check/ACH Positive Pay solutions.
  • Proven ability to evaluate complex data, identify trends, draw sound conclusions, and partner with cross‑functional teams to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple, sometimes competing, initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong technical acumen, with a solid grasp of platform capabilities, development best practices, and the translation of business requirements into effective solution designs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively prepare and maintain the following documents and tools: Business Process Process Flow Analysis Functional Design Requirements Definition Project Plans
  • Demonstrates the following Leadership skills: Monitors progress and follow-ups. Provides respectful feedback. Escalates where necessary. Delivers projects on time.

Responsibilities

  • Solution & Process Design Leadership Serve as IT project lead to ensure business requirements are fully captured for solution design, testing, and implementation across corporate systems.
  • Partner with business sponsors to define requirements that improve efficiency and application functionality.
  • Design current- and future‑state workflows, processes, and solutions to address business needs.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams to drive projects from concept through delivery.
  • Testing, Quality and Delivery Execution Develop comprehensive test strategies that include appropriate integration and end‑to-end process components.
  • Create test cases, conduct system integration testing, and validate results to ensure solution quality.
  • Exercise independent judgment and take a lead role in managing project execution and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot issues and support applications as needed.
  • Stakeholder Partnership and Communication Build strong, cross‑functional understanding of the company’s products and business operations.
  • Clearly communicate complex technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by business partners.
  • Proactively increase client satisfaction by managing expectations and strengthening stakeholder relationships.
  • Emerging Technology & AI Enablement Participate in the evaluation and implementation of AI-enabled features or tools within commercial digital banking platforms (e.g., workflow automation, data analysis, or decision-support capabilities), working closely with technical teams and vendors.
  • Assist in documenting requirements and controls for emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals, risk standards, and regulatory expectations.
