As a Sr Business Analyst within PNC's Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. Join PNC's Regulatory Reporting team, where your work directly impacts how the bank is evaluated, regulated, and trusted. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine regulatory reporting, financial analysis, data management, and process improvement while partnering with stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and Risk. As a Business Analyst Sr., you will support the preparation and analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly regulatory reports, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You will work extensively with large datasets, perform variance analysis, interpret regulatory requirements, and leverage tools such as Axiom, Workiva (Wdesk), TOAD, Teradata, Excel, and Hyperion Essbase to support reporting and business initiatives. The role also plays a key part in strategic projects and technology enhancements, including Axiom regulatory reporting initiatives, ERP and FirstBank integration efforts, quarterly release testing, automation opportunities, and process optimization activities. In addition, you will partner with business and technology teams to gather and translate requirements, perform gap analysis, document business processes, and develop solutions that improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and controls. Successful candidates will bring strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, financial reporting knowledge, and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex problems, working with data, and driving continuous improvement. This position is based in Pittsburgh and requires working in the office five days per week. The team operates in a highly collaborative environment and provides significant exposure to senior leaders, regulatory reporting processes, and enterprise-wide initiatives. Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Directs in the research, discovery, collection and interpretation of business requirements, and participates in the development and review of processes and procedures, workflow analytics, and reporting.
  • Provides consultation to clients on business designs, problem solving and business analysis to support project management.
  • Develops and maintains of all applicable policy and procedure documentation.
  • Independently obtains and identifies the business requirements needed to carry out and improve applicable business processes.
  • Provides expertise and problem-solving for clients and technology teams throughout the business analysis process.
  • Translates business needs, processes and/or procedures by partnering with applicable experts and business stakeholders to determine and articulate needs.
  • May communicate with stakeholders and technology teams on moderately complex business requirements, provides gap analysis and facilitates future business process modeling for clients.
