About The Position

DMI is seeking a Business Analyst specializing in requirements elicitation and sprint-level documentation to support the Federal Program. This individual will be embedded in active system enhancement workstreams, translating stakeholder inputs into clear, actionable requirements that development and engineering teams can build from. The Mid-Level BA serves as the connective tissue between what the customer says they need and what the technical team understands it is building.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience in a federal IT or software development environment
  • Proficiency in user story writing, acceptance criteria development, and sprint backlog management
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent Agile project tracking tools
  • Strong written communication skills; ability to produce clear, structured requirements documents and meeting minutes
  • Experience with UAT coordination and defect triage in a federal IT environment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with EPLC documentation standards and federal requirements management practices preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements discovery, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements for assigned system-enhancement workstreams in collaboration with senior BAs, PMs, and Government stakeholders
  • Translate stakeholder inputs and workshop outputs into user stories, epics, and sprint-ready backlog items with clearly defined acceptance criteria
  • Maintain requirements repositories and change logs throughout the project lifecycle using customer-approved tooling (Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint)
  • Participate in sprint planning sessions to clarify requirements for development teams and answer questions on acceptance criteria during the sprint
  • Coordinate weekly stakeholder check-ins to capture evolving needs and document decisions and action items
  • Perform impact analysis for proposed scope changes and communicate tradeoffs to the Project Manager within two (2) business days of a change request
  • Coordinate UAT execution by developing test scenarios, coordinating stakeholder participation, and channeling defect feedback back to the development team
  • Update and maintain functional specifications, wireframe annotations, and workflow narratives throughout the system lifecycle
  • Produce and distribute meeting minutes for all requirements and stakeholder sessions within three (3) business days
