About The Position

The Business Analyst III provides analytical and project management support to various corporate and business line strategic initiatives according to established Company procedures and applicable legal and regulatory guidelines. This role offers the opportunity to help build a new USCC Operations Controls & Risk Assessment function from the ground up. The successful candidate will support the development and oversight of the USCC control inventory, help address control gaps, contribute to risk assessment activities, and play an important role in shaping sustainable processes, documentation, and team practices as the function matures.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience with USCC operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, control writing, control testing, and risk assessments preferred.
  • Ability to stay organized, self-directed professional with strong problem-solving, time management, and relationship management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and an effective communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders outside of the candidate’s direct reporting line, motivate team members in a fast-paced and demanding environment, and contribute meaningful input to overall team and divisional strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides analytical and project management support to various corporate and business line strategic initiatives.
  • Supports the development and oversight of the USCC control inventory.
  • Helps address control gaps.
  • Contributes to risk assessment activities.
  • Plays an important role in shaping sustainable processes, documentation, and team practices.
  • Identifies, develops, and maintains key linkages with business partners including the retail product management, retail distribution, commercial banking, support services and North American business partners such as TD Wealth Management, TD Ameritrade and TD Insurance.
  • Helps senior management by giving insightful and pro-active reporting and analysis and various corporate and business line initiatives.
  • Works with line of business team members/ resource.
  • Resolves issues and problems by conferring with staff, management, other internal departments, outside contacts as necessary.
  • Works cross-functionally as required to drive strategic initiatives and improve processes.
  • Adds financial value to company by analyzing company data to identify and recommend initiatives that positively and materially impact the financial results of the company.
