About The Position

The Business Analyst II role is responsible for analyzing, documenting, and managing requirements with stakeholders. This involves applying various techniques to elicit, challenge, and gain consensus on requirements. The role also includes identifying, documenting, and validating current state processes, and supporting the design of future state processes based on the end-to-end customer experience. The Business Analyst II ensures that business processes and systems impacted by requirements are analyzed, and that acceptance criteria clearly demonstrate the necessary changes. They work with Change Management to assess and manage customer and employee experience impacts, and bridge communication between business and technology stakeholders regarding requirements-related dependencies and constraints. Additionally, the role involves defining acceptance criteria, supporting test script development, and managing the traceability of business requirements. The Business Analyst II leverages specialized domain, product, and systems knowledge to understand the business vision, provide subject matter expertise, and drive focus toward business value. They promote innovation by generating forward-thinking ideas and identifying opportunities for improvement. The role requires timely notification and escalation of issues, assessing options for prompt resolution, and ensuring work meets regulatory and framework controls. Effective communication with stakeholders is crucial to ensure alignment with delivery frameworks and objectives. Analytical skills are applied to understand business problems, impacted stakeholders, and proposed solutions, ensuring alignment with TD's risk appetite. Material risks and issues are identified, documented, and managed, with escalation to leadership as necessary. Concerns from stakeholders are promptly managed, and support is provided for change management, implementation, and Request for Information/Proposal activities. The role provides support and oversight in the delivery of requirements, focusing on quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation, while adhering to the TD Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, document, and manage requirements with stakeholders by applying a variety of techniques to probe, elicit, challenge, understand, and gain consensus on requirements.
  • Identify, document, and validate current state processes and support stakeholders to design the desired future state; provide recommendations and/or direction based on the end-to-end customer experience when making decisions.
  • Ensure business processes/systems impacted by requirements are analyzed and the acceptance criteria clearly demonstrates the changes to business process/systems to meet customer needs.
  • Work with Change Management to assess and ensure that customer and employee experience / stakeholder impacts are appropriately identified and managed.
  • Ensure that requirements-related dependencies and constraints are documented by bridging the communication between business and technology stakeholders.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders on defining acceptance criteria sufficiently for testing and supporting the development of test scripts and subsequent testing of developed solutions (as appropriate), including communication of issues and resolution.
  • Manage the traceability of business requirements.
  • Leverage specialized domain, product, and systems knowledge to have a thorough understanding of the business, product, and vision; provide business/product subject matter expertise as well as recognize and drive the focus toward business value.
  • Promote innovation by applying subject matter expertise to generate forward-thinking ideas as well as critical thinking to find opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems while assessing options and recommendations for prompt resolution.
  • Ensure work meets associated regulatory and framework controls, standards, and best practices.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment to delivery framework and objectives.
  • Apply analytical skills to effectively understand business problems, impacted stakeholders, and proposed solutions to ensure alignment to TD's risk appetite.
  • Identify, document, and actively manage material risks and issues, escalating to appropriate leadership when necessary to ensure the timely and unimpeded progress of work.
  • Promptly manage concerns from stakeholders and ensure timely and effective problem resolution.
  • Support change management planning and activities, including those that ensure operational readiness.
  • Support implementation and post-implementation planning and activities.
  • Support Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) planning and activities, when required.
  • Provides support/oversight and guidance in the delivery of requirements with focus on quality, reusability, scalability, and innovation.
  • Adhere to the TD Code of Conduct.
