About The Position

As a Business Analyst, you will perform business analysis functions using a set of tasks and techniques to successfully act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the structure, policies and operations of an organization and to be able to recommend solutions that enable projects to be successful and goals to be met. This includes facilitating, leading and actively participating in requirements gathering sessions to analyze, define and document business processes, software requirements, data management systems, interface specifications and development of specifications for technology initiatives. You will also work as a liaison between IT and business representatives, analyzing business activities and presenting the findings for analysis of solutions to purchase, implement, or develop. This includes working with development team members by collaborating on the development, testing, deployment, and adoption of solutions. In addition, you will be responsible for communicating and consulting with system user populations concerning system changes and implementation planning for changes and releases.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of business analysis experience.
  • Understanding of programming concepts.
  • Previous experience with relational database structures.
  • Strong technical skills – must have worked as a Developer, QA Engineer, Business Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst previously.
  • Qualified candidates will have effective leadership skills, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to multitask.
  • Must have demonstrable experience analyzing, documenting, and iterating on new or existing technology systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, a good listener, with the ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally, present complex information to diverse audiences in a comprehensive style and translate technical and system information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working on complex projects while organizing and prioritizing multiple deadlines, including defining issues and possible solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation and facilitation skills enough to participate in discussions among systems users, representatives from other departments, as well as IT staff on highly complex issues.
  • Experience selecting, modifying, and applying the correct tools or templates used for gathering and reporting requirements.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently, define problems as they arise, and recommend alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills in problem definition, information gathering and research, alternatives analysis, applying creative solutions to unique and/or immediate problems, and appropriate resolution implementation.
  • Ability to perform quality functional testing and write test plans.
  • User experience with Microsoft applications.

Nice To Haves

  • BA/BS degree; highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with internal customers to gather and define project requirements, including; assessment of data, definition of site content, and clarification of customer needs.
  • Documenting requirements for projects and communicating those requirements and expectations to the technical development team.
  • Maintaining on-going internal team relationships.
  • Recommending new solutions or ideas to the internal customers which will enhance their project.
  • Recommending and building new solutions or ideas to internal customers that will streamline and simplify processes.
  • Responsible for the gathering, analyzing, and articulating business and system requirements within our organization.
  • Perform QA role for new features / updates.
