About The Position

We are seeking a Business Analyst II to join the Customer Engagement team, which encompasses business development and sales functions. This role is integral to Cascade’s proposal process for winning new work and analyzing sales and revenue data. The Business Analyst II will use data to tell stories, translate business questions and requirements into insights, tools, and reporting to inform decision-making and strategies. This role will also guide the sales team’s usage of Cascade’s CRM, including data completeness for revenue reporting, and provide insights to help leadership decide which business opportunities to pursue, the cost of services, and how to demonstrate customer value. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or equivalent technical background.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a relevant role, with a track record of escalating responsibility over time.
  • Experience with CRM systems or similar databases.
  • Expert experience with Excel and related experience in other analytical applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the energy or energy efficiency industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience being part of a business development and sales team.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or similar data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Experience utilizing AI and emerging technology to automate workflows, streamline analysis, and improve reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with proposal teams to develop proposal budgets, pricing strategies, and program savings forecasting from development to interviewing to negotiation to handoff.
  • Follow the Proposal Pricing Checklist to ensure proposals are priced accurately, internal teams are informed, and processes are followed.
  • Own, maintain, and enhance existing tools used to generate standard proposal budgets.
  • Collaborate with F&A and other stakeholders to create new tools that automate/streamline the proposal process and train others to use them.
  • Maintain, enhance, and develop reporting and analysis that provide insight into Cascade's sales performance using tools such as Excel, Pipedrive, Ajera, Power BI, and Power Query.
  • Act as a backup for revenue reporting with the possibility of future process ownership.
  • Become an owner of AI-based workflows and tools that assist the team’s ability to price work and complete proposals.
  • Take on new projects, initiatives, and reports that support the team’s overall business development and sales performance.
  • Learn new concepts and processes that can be applied to reporting and analysis of improvements.
  • Plan and host periodic pipeline reviews with the Sales team.
  • Consult with other Customer Engagement team members to optimize the CRM system’s data field completion and revenue information.
