About The Position

This role involves providing expert analysis of EDI projects, including requirements gathering, documentation of detailed project plans, and testing support. The Business Analyst II will leverage extensive knowledge of EDI standards and XML to propose project plans for the development team. They will also perform quality assurance testing on application upgrades before production deployment and coordinate these efforts with customers. The position requires taking input from management, developing meeting objectives and agendas, and consistently applying project standards. The analyst will prioritize multiple tasks, prepare reports, flow diagrams, and charts to ensure optimal process performance and meet supply needs. Additionally, they will review and work requirements at all levels to perform gap, scope creep, fulfillment, and realization analysis.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
• XML working knowledge recommended.
• Ability to translate business and technical conversations into field by field data mappings which developers will use to implement specific integrations.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well as part of a team, take ownership of projects, and work independently to solve problems and complete projects on time.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
• Ability to show good judgment at all times.
• Ability to execute assigned tasks against a project plan with target dates.
• Bachelor's degree in a related analytical field or 5-years logistics industry experience
• Minimum 5-years of Business Analysis experience

Nice To Haves

• Logistics experience preferred (freight forwarding, warehousing, customs brokerage).
• Integration experience with the retail, government, high tech and/or energy vertical markets, a plus.
• Programming Languages -- specifically SQL -- a plus

Responsibilities

• Works with Client Solutions Manager and developers to provide expert analysis of EDI projects, including requirements gathering with customers, documentation of detailed project plans, and providing testing support.
• Leverages extensive knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and XML to propose project plans for implementation by the development team.
• Performs quality assurance test on all new application build upgrades before they are placed into production environment. Coordinates these efforts with customers.
• Takes input from Management and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.
• Develops internal and external meeting objectives and agendas, while understanding the necessity of project standards and applies them consistently.
• Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively, prepares reports, flow diagrams and charts, while ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet supply needs.
• Review and work requirements at all levels to perform gap, scope creep, fulfillment, and realization analysis.
