Business Analyst II, Unclaimed Property & Escheatment
About The Position
This is a remote role that may only be hired in Arizona. We are looking for candidates who live within a commutable drivable distance to our Phoenix, AZ office. This position supports the execution of unclaimed property reporting activities, including due diligence mailings, to help ensure compliance with applicable state requirements. Performs advanced data analysis, gathers business requirements, and develops recommendations to support business operations. Evaluates business processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and supports solutions that enhance operational effectiveness and controls. Prepares reports and may occasionally guide less experienced analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in System Support or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 7 years of experience in System Support or Analytics
Nice To Haves
- Strong knowledge of multi-state unclaimed property laws.
- Experience with process mapping and workflow analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets and multiple systems.
- Knowledge of General Ledger reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
- Experience working within a large, regulated financial institution.
Responsibilities
- Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
- Provides daily support for business operations by responding to inquiries, identifying issues, and working to improve standard practices. Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements. May serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units.
- Determines overall business needs through analysis and reporting. Suggests strategies to achieve company and department goals. Assists in creating specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation to communicate business initiatives to wider work group.
- Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement.
- Evaluates business processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and supports the implementation of solutions that increase efficiency, effectiveness, and operational controls.
