About The Position

We are looking for a motivated and analytically minded Business Analyst to join our team. In this mid-level role, you will work closely with the Performance Marketing Director, Development Manager and cross-functional teams to understand and take ownership of legacy systems and highly manual business and reporting processes that rely on significant institutional knowledge. Over time, you’ll identify opportunities to streamline, stabilize, and modernize these workflows to enhance their durability, efficiency, and automation while ensuring continuity and reliability. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with hands-on technical proficiency, a genuine curiosity for problem-solving, and the interpersonal empathy needed to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of related job experience in a Business Analyst or hybrid analyst/developer role
  • At least 2 years of SQL experience
  • Experience with cURL and RESTful APIs
  • Advanced SQL proficiency, including writing complex joins, creating views, and authoring stored procedures
  • Knowledge of JSON and SQL databases and operating systems
  • Basic programming experience in one or more additional languages
  • Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud platforms
  • Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly
  • Ability to leverage AI to improve all aspects of the position
  • Strong empathy: able to understand stakeholder needs and see problems from multiple perspectives
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Ability to follow instructions, receive training, and thrive in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Performance Marketing Director with all aspects of reporting, software design, coding, and project planning
  • Attend and actively contribute to company development meetings and cross-team discussions
  • Respond promptly to requests from the development team via email, Microsoft Teams, and other communication platforms
  • Gather information from end users and consumers to evaluate program functionality and identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor the financial and/or operational performance of internal metrics, KPIs, and systems
  • Gather information from multiple sources to measure, audit, and analyze data
  • Write clear, accurate, and actionable reports for internal stakeholders
  • Perform occasional data entry tasks with a high level of attention to detail
  • Write SQL queries as needed to support business requirements
  • Quickly understand legacy code and queries
  • Generate easy to understand reports for nontechnical stakeholders
  • Become proficient in managing cloud resources on AWS
  • Convert manual processes into automated systems
  • Identify issues quickly and develop effective, practical solutions in a timely manner
  • Empathize with stakeholders and end users to understand root causes and prioritize impactful resolutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
