Business Analyst - Analytics & Insights

RoadpostToronto, ON

About The Position

At Roadpost, we've spent years earning the trust of people who depend on reliable communication when it matters most — beyond cellular coverage, in the world's most remote places. That foundation gave rise to ZOLEO, our global messaging platform powered by the Iridium satellite network, built for outdoor adventurers, remote workers, and enterprise teams operating off-grid. Our impact is real — just ask the people whose lives have been saved thanks to ZOLEO rescue alerts (read their stories). Now, we're raising the bar on what connectivity can do. ZOLEO is redefining what it means to stay connected beyond cellular coverage — evolving from a hardware-led satellite communicator into a duty-of-care safety platform that combines intelligent monitoring, automation, and real-time visibility. The result: confidence, accountability, and coordinated response in critical moments. This is what the future of global safety looks like, and we're building it. Come join us in this mission. Data without analysis is just noise. This role exists to close that gap — owning the analytical layer across all executive layers and team functions, and turning it into the insights that drive how Roadpost executes, invests, and grows. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will turn data into insight that drives execution, investment, and growth. You will build the reporting that gives leadership clear visibility into performance, surface trends others miss, and deliver analysis that informs the decisions that matter most. With scope across the business, this role will influence major decisions and place your work directly in the hands of the leaders responsible for acting on it.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role, with hands-on experience working across business performance data.
  • You use Claude as a core part of how you work — not occasionally, but daily. You know how to direct it, how to pressure-test what it gives you, and when to override it entirely. You take full responsibility for the analysis you ship, regardless of how it was produced.
  • Comfort working with large, messy, real-world datasets and the ability to find answers even when data is incomplete or ambiguous.
  • Demonstrated ability to turn complex analysis into clear narratives, structured presentations, and visualizations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A strong instinct for understanding the audience, the decision at hand, and the format that will make insights easiest to act on.
  • A track record of working independently, managing priorities under pressure, and delivering high-quality outputs in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience using UI tools such as Tableau or Looker to build effective dashboards and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and own recurring reports and dashboards for leadership, covering business performance, pipeline health, and progress against key metrics. Ensure outputs are clean, scannable, and decision-ready, and use them as a foundation for deeper analysis.
  • Work closely with Claude as a core part of your daily workflow, using AI to accelerate analysis, improve productivity, structure investigations, and enhance the quality and speed of insights.
  • Gather and analyze data across sales, financial, operational, client acquisition, and product adoption domains. Surface trends, identify opportunities, and flag risks early so leaders can act with confidence.
  • Deliver purpose-built data products for key business functions, designing outputs around how stakeholders actually work and what decisions they need to make.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear narratives and intuitive visualizations that non-technical audiences can quickly understand and use.
  • Partner with the data engineering team to improve data accuracy and consistency. Own audit activities, identify discrepancies early, and help resolve root causes.
  • Respond to leadership requests with fast, structured analysis, and turn insights into clear materials for executive presentations. Test ideas, challenge assumptions, and back decisions with data.

Benefits

  • Salary Range. $80,000 - $95,000 CAD base salary.
  • Flexible Work. A hybrid model; balancing collaboration and lifestyle flexibility.
  • Comprehensive Benefits. Health, dental, and flexible spending accounts tailored to your needs.
  • Time to Recharge. Vacation and sick days to help you rest, recharge, and stay well.
  • Growth Investment. A continuous learning environment backed by a professional development budget.
  • Inclusive by Nature. A values-driven workplace where diverse perspectives are celebrated.
