About The Position

Socket Fiber is expanding rapidly and seeking energetic and ambitious individuals to join their team as Business Account Executives. This role involves face-to-face interaction with small and medium-sized businesses to introduce them to fiber-powered internet and communications solutions. The company is focused on developing future sales leaders and offers a growth-oriented environment for those willing to work hard and learn. This is a field-based position in the Rolla, Missouri market, requiring daily virtual or in-office meetings at 8 AM, followed by territory work during business hours.

Requirements

  • Current and valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Ability to travel daily within an assigned local market (30-90 minute radius).
  • Comfort navigating rejection, as this is a performance-driven, commission-heavy role.
  • Availability for an 8 AM team meeting daily (virtual or in-person).

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prior sales experience (especially door-to-door or in-person).
  • Experience in customer service or a client-facing role.
  • General knowledge of telecommunications services (internet, wireless, phone systems).
  • Passion for helping local businesses grow.

Responsibilities

  • Generate leads through door-to-door prospecting, networking, and consistent follow-up within a local territory.
  • Introduce decision-makers to the value of Socket Fiber’s business services.
  • Assess customer needs and propose tailored solutions using Socket’s business products (Broadband/Dedicated Internet, Voice Services, UCaaS).
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and key performance benchmarks.
  • Manage sales pipeline in Salesforce and follow up to close opportunities.
  • Participate in daily sales calls, team check-ins, and training sessions for continuous learning.
  • Maintain a professional presence and represent the brand with integrity in the market.
  • Work efficiently in the field, utilizing provided mileage reimbursement.
  • Assist the team as needed and take on additional duties to support company growth.
