About The Position

Metronet is seeking a results-driven Account Executive to join their Business Sales team. This is a frontline sales role responsible for the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and plays a key role in expanding the company's footprint. The Account Executive will be the primary point of contact for new customers, delivering tailored solutions and experiences. The role requires a proactive approach to winning new business and growing a career in sales within the telecommunications industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in telecommunications or technology.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Candidate must be able to be in-market M-F.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities within an assigned territory or vertical.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to uncover customer needs and deliver tailored solutions aligned with Metronet’s offerings.
  • Own the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract execution and onboarding.
  • Leverage data and insights from Salesforce and other tools to inform sales approach, prioritize opportunities, and drive decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, pipeline activity, and deal progression in Salesforce.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth implementation and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and activity benchmarks in a competitive, fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in regular Individual Business Meetings (IBMs) with the Sales Manager to review performance and align on goals.
  • Share market insights and customer feedback to help shape strategy and drive team success.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.
