About The Position

Socket Fiber is seeking an energetic and ambitious Business Account Executive to join their growing team. This field-based role involves working face-to-face with small and medium-sized businesses in the St. Louis, Missouri market to introduce them to fiber-powered internet and communications solutions. The position requires daily virtual meetings at 8 AM, followed by territory work during business hours. Socket Fiber is focused on building the next generation of sales leaders and offers opportunities for growth within the company for individuals willing to work hard and learn the sales process.

Requirements

  • Current & valid driver’s license with no restrictions
  • Ability to travel daily within your assigned local market (30-60 minute radius from your main market)
  • Comfort navigating rejection—this is a performance-driven, commission-heavy role
  • Availability for an 8 AM team meeting daily (virtual)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sales experience (especially door-to-door or in-person)
  • Experience working in customer service or a client-facing role
  • General knowledge of telecommunications services (i.e. internet, wireless, phone systems)

Responsibilities

  • Own your local territory by generating leads through door-to-door prospecting, networking, and consistent follow-up with small and mid-sized businesses.
  • Introduce decision-makers to the value of Socket Fiber’s business services.
  • Assess customer needs and deliver tailored solutions using Socket’s full suite of business products, including Broadband/Dedicated Internet, Voice Services, and Cloud-Based Phone Systems (UCaaS).
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and key performance benchmarks.
  • Manage your pipeline in Salesforce and follow up regularly to close opportunities.
  • Participate in daily sales calls, team check-ins, training sessions, and development opportunities.
  • Maintain a professional presence and represent the brand with integrity.
  • Work efficiently in the field, making the most of your time.
  • Take on additional duties that help the team grow.
