About The Position

The San Diego Unified School District is looking for professionals who care deeply for students and are committed to the communities in which they serve. The Bus Scheduler will develop routes and construct schedules for bus services, including field trips and/or special events; monitor services and enforce compliance of routes and schedules with policies and procedures; perform route maintenance and respond to requests for service changes and exceptions.

Requirements

  • Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to one year of college with coursework in business, public administration, or a related field
  • Two years of related experience as a dispatcher, supervisor, instructor, transportation clerk, or related job
  • Related education and experience must be clearly represented in the work history and education section of your application

  • Contact information for three references must be listed in the 'Reference' section of the application
  • References should be from a current or previous supervisor
  • Attach Verification of Education
  • Education, training, or certifications will only be considered if acceptable documentation is attached
  • Accepted documents include: Copy of a degree or official transcript, Copy of Licenses and/or Certifications
  • Individuals who have completed high school or college-level coursework at an institution in a country other than the United States must provide a Foreign Equivalency Certification to satisfy the education requirement
